That being said, after having time to process this book, the ending has really grown on me, and I would highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a fascinating, dystopian read!🙃 I did not see that coming.” (And this is really impressive, because I spend a lot of time predicting books/ movies!)Īlthough I did not enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed reading Scythe and Thunderhead, it was still amazing! The ending wrapped up very nicely, although I do wish that a few things happened differently- which is mostly why this book let me down just a little. My first thoughts upon finishing this book were: well, that was definitely something. This book is a stunning conclusion to the series, and it was incredibly well-written.
The book focuses on the events following the end of Thunderhead, and it embraces the Thunderhead’s plan and Faraday’s idea. The Toll is the third and final book in the Arc of a Scythe trilogy. Quote: “It is our nature to surpass nature.” Series: 3rd book in The Arc of a Scythe Trilogy
